The computing industry has recently proposed the use of FPGAs as a way to improve performance and energy efficiency in modern cloud clusters. Unfortunately, using such FPGA clusters is a very hard and complex task.
In this context, this workshop presents HardCloud (http://www.hardcloud.org), a simple mechanism based on novel OpenMP directives, that allows the seamless offload of bitstreams to the FPGA available in the Intel HARP2 architecture.
The workshop will explain the HardCloud design and guide the attendants through hands-on tutorials that show how to use it.
